Terms of Service

These terms are the agreement between you and us when you use Nordic Method. We have written them in plain language on purpose. If you have questions, email hello@nordicmethod.app.

1. Who we are

Nordic Method is operated by Nordic Ecolab, a company registered in Norway (organisation number 937 234 163), registered address Akersveien 24E, 0177 Oslo, Norway. In these terms, "we", "us" and "our" mean Nordic Ecolab; "the service" means the Nordic Method web app and website.

2. What Nordic Method is

Nordic Method is a subscription web app (a progressive web app you can install from your browser). It includes a procrastination self-assessment quiz, daily 5-minute lessons based on cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) principles, micro-tasks, personal reflections and a journal, mood check-ins, goals, and optional push-notification reminders.

3. Nordic Method is not medical care

Nordic Method is a self-help and educational program. It is not medical care, therapy, or a diagnosis, and it is not a substitute for help from a qualified professional. If you are struggling with your mental health, please talk to a doctor, therapist, or another qualified professional. If you are in crisis, contact your local emergency services or a crisis line right away.

Our lessons draw on CBT principles, but everyone is different — we cannot and do not promise any specific result.

4. Your account

You need an account to use the app. Keep your login details to yourself, give us accurate information, and use one account per person. Nordic Method is intended for adults: to buy a subscription you must be legally able to enter into a contract. You can delete your account at any time in the app under Settings.

5. Subscriptions, payment and refunds

Nordic Method is sold as an auto-renewing subscription (1, 3 or 6 months), with prices shown at checkout in USD. Payments are processed by Stripe. How renewal, cancellation, our 14-day money-back guarantee, and your EU/EEA withdrawal right work is described in our Subscription & Refund Policy, which is part of these terms.

6. Your content

Your reflections, journal entries, mood check-ins, goals, and quiz answers belong to you. You give us permission to store and process them only so we can provide the service to you — for example, to show your journal back to you and to personalize your plan. How we handle your data is described in our Privacy Policy.

7. Acceptable use

Use the service for its intended purpose. Don't try to break, overload, or gain unauthorized access to it, don't copy or resell the content, and don't share your account. More detail is in our Acceptable Use Policy.

8. Our content

The lessons, exercises, quizzes, design, and software in Nordic Method belong to us or our licensors. Your subscription gives you a personal, non-transferable right to use them for your own non-commercial use while your subscription is active.

9. Disclaimers and liability

We work hard to keep the service reliable, but we provide it "as is" to the extent the law allows — occasional interruptions and errors can happen. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect losses arising from your use of the service. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, and nothing in these terms takes away mandatory consumer rights you have under the law of the country where you live.

10. Ending the agreement

You can stop using Nordic Method at any time — cancel your subscription (see the Subscription & Refund Policy) and, if you wish, delete your account under Settings. We may suspend or close accounts that seriously or repeatedly break these terms.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the effective date at the top and give you notice in the app or by email before the changes take effect. If you keep using the service after that, the new terms apply.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Norway. Disputes will be handled by the courts of Oslo, Norway. If you are a consumer in the EU/EEA, you also keep the protection of the mandatory consumer laws, and access to the courts, of the country where you live.
